And after the gig, hit the casino
I was gettin' comped at the slot machine
By the finest young waitress you ever did see

She asked "what'll it be?", i said "love on the rocks"
Thanked her the drink and gave her a tip
I asked her to join me for a night on the strip
I was willing to wait until she got off the job

Now i've been around the world on many different stages
Met a lot of women, seen a lot of faces
But i've got a story that's one for the ages
Oh what i wouldn't give for that one night in vegas
Cuz i didn't know if i would see her again
Got hitched in the chapel, halleluah, amen
And i would give up being rich and famous
So i could relive that one hot night in vegas

From caesar's palace to the bellagio
Man there wasn't a casino that we didn't go
We saw show after show and took shot after shot
And what happened next, well i damn near forgot
Woke up with a ring on my finger
Man i wish that was a memory that still lingered
Pick myself up off the bathroom floor
Looking at pictures from the night before
You're in the cocktail dress, and i was shirtless
With elvis presiding over the service
Now i know it's vegas but we sure moved fast,
So is this a thing that's gonna last?
